California is known to have some of the best, if not the best, bass fishing in the world. Pine Flat Lake in Sierra Nevada foothills of Fresno County has the spotted bass world record (10.27 lbs)and California’s largemouth record is (22 lbs, 2 oz). Many experts say that California will produce the next world record largemouth bass. San Joaquin Guide Service got its start in bass fishing.

San Joaquin Bass Fishing Guide

Your guide, Captain Louis Moosios, has been bass fishing for 30 years. He has had some “epic” fishing events. He has personally caught several spotted bass over 7 pounds, including one over 9 pounds. In addition, he documented catching over 1,500 fish in a six-month period. Captain Louis is a hard-core bass fisherman. He is constantly learning new ways to fish and experimenting with new techniques he learns from others or comes up with himself.

He has fished all 24 hours of the day, rain or shine. There are patterns you need to figure out when fishing, such as following areas, figuring out which lures to use, times of the day to fish, watching the water, etc. As a fisherman, it is always good to have some secrets. San Joaquin Guide Service is available to guide you on any of the lakes in the area, including Eastman, Hensley, Millerton, Pine Flat and some other small private waters. However, your guide/Captain specializes in a little jewel called the San Joaquin River. Even though the San Joaquin River has a small following by the locals, it has relatively low fishing pressure. There is nobody who knows the river and the fishing better than Captain Louis. He is able to get you to some special fishing areas with his experience running a jet boat on the river. Just being on the river, fishing its clear waters, is a great experience. However, the ride and views are worth the trip alone.

The San Joaquin Bass Fishing Trip:

Clients will meet at a designated time and location. Your captain will go over safety precautions. You may fish one location the whole trip or may move locations quite a bit. Clients have many spots to choose based upon styles of fishing, locations, and different types of species. Your guide/captain will supply all equipment and will also take plenty of pictures. San Joaquin Guide Service asks customers to practice catch and release so you can catch them again next trip. Bass are very susceptible to over fishing and live up to 16 years.
